Evaluation of Your Assignment for Computer-Controlled Cutting Week
Hi Joni,
I really enjoyed reading about your experiment with the laser cutter and vinyl cutter. Thanks for your organized and well-written documentation. It would be a very good example for our future FabAcademy students. Please find my feedback about things that need to be fixed below.

Focus Test
Actually, the focus has a clear effect. In your test, it did not cut through when the focus was set 4 mm below (you don't have it in your picture though). If you test with 2 or 3 mm below, it might not still cut through or even if it does, the cut is not the finest and there will be lots of burn shadows and the part might need some force/pressure to come out of the sheet of material and it might break some items of your part or does not come out clean. Another reason could be the default setting that you cut with. Maybe there was too little speed or too much power and that's why it did cut through. I recommend you to run more tests if you doubt in the importance of focus.
Power and Speed Test
Here, also talk about the result of testing power.
DPI Test
You also tested engraving with different DPI. Please describe it.
Joints
You also tested how joints might fit and the impact of kerf on it. Please describe it.
Parametric Design
Well done with the design and documentation.
It is good to see that You've used also color mapping to arrange the order of cutting different parts pf your design. It is great that you did not have problem assembling the dodecahedron! You had a thoughtful design and parameters including kerf and material thickness.
Just, in your parametric design section, please describe how you accounted for kerf in your design (explain your formula for indentWidth where you've used kerf).
There is a link somewhere at the end of your page explaining making the press-fit kit but the link seems to be blank (Here: "In the final file, there are blue lines (#0000ff), red lines (#ff0000) and black lines (#000000) that are intended to be cut in that order (i.e. blue, red, black).")
Also, add .stl file of your parametric design.
You need to explain how you worked with the laser cutter. Add the name of the laser cutter, and description of focus, origin, and job adjustments.
When you are done with the changes, please let me know :)
