Evaluation of Your Assignment for Computer-Controlled Cutting Week
GROUP WORK
Please briefly explain in your own words about what you learned during the group work.
VINYL CUTTING
"However, if needed, a raster image can be convert into vector " --> Typo: converted"Pull down the loading lever and press Enter button to load the film" --> After loading the material, you first choose one of the options among roll, piece or edge from the display screen of the machine and then press enter. Please specify which of them (roll, edge or piece) did you use and what happened when you chose it? (a sensor is located on the carriage head which measures the size of the material. For example if you choose edge, it will measure the width of the material and if you choose piece it measures both the width and the length of the sheet).Did you also used transfer sheet for transferring your vinyl to your object? If yes, please write about it. If not, please explain how you did it.The hero image from the final product when you remove all of unwanted parts and stick the sticker somewhere is missing.
PARAMETRIC DESIGN
"Parametric design refers to the design process that create objects by specifying their parameters, as well as the connections and constraints among these parameters." --> Please rephrase this definition. I think for the second part of your sentence you mean something like this: Parametric design refers to the design process that we create objects by specifying parameters, and depending on changing the value for these parameters our design responses accordingly."The parameter setting interface can be access via the path of" --> Typo: accessed"As discussed in the Group Assignment, the laser beam itself has a certain width, which means it will burn more material than expected when it cut through." --> The provided link does not go to the group assignment page."Then, a slot need to be created at each tip of the pentagon." --> Typo: needs"all the lines that supposed to be cut through should be thinner than 0.02 mm , while all the lines for engraving should be thicker than this number." --> Please rephrase this sentence and write something like this: "all the lines that supposed to be cut through should be 0.02 mm or close to 0.02 mm , while all the lines for engraving should be thick enough." Your current sentence might not be 100% correct because it still cuts through if the line width is slightly bigger or smaller than 0.02 mm for example 0.025 mm or 0.015 mm and etc."I. Reflection: In general, I think the laser cutter in Oulu FabLab is very sophisticated, which can be adjusted and used with simple operational procedures." --> Do you mean not sophisticated? Because in the second part of your sentence you specify that it is simple to work with.
