3D Design
-
Very good explanation of the design steps. -
Please explain why your object cannot be made subractively. Please check Mikko's email (that we recently were discussing your project), from there, you could get some ideas how to explain why your object cannot be made subtractively.
I believe your object can be made Subtractively. Because even with CNC machine, you still will probably be able to pause it and put a coin there and continue. Instead of putting a coin manually there, you could consider having a floating ball in you design inside the object that you have already designed. However, to make sure, I would like to have Mikko's opinion on this as well. And then I will let you know the result. If we decide that you object can be made subtractively, then the only thing that you need to do is adding a floating ball to the middle of your design (instead of putting a coin manually) and printing again and completing your documentation by adding new stuff there (I will tell more later about this.)
3D Scanning
-
Please explain more about the setting and preparation for 3D scanning; for example light condition, the contrast color of the platform (under your model) with the color of your model and etc. -
Your .obj files do not open. Please fix the issue. Anyhow, if your .obj files are big size (more than 500 KB), you should reduce the size and upload .stl files instead. You can do it as follows:You .obj files are too big (4 mb) please reduce the size by following these steps: Fusion 360 > open .obj file > Switch to the mesh environment > Select Body > Modify > Reduce > Reduce Type:Adaptive, Reduce Target:Density, reduce the density by moving the bar > save as .stl
Group Work
Link to the group work is missing.Explain briefly in a few sentences about your group work experience; How those things that you learned in group work was helpful for doing your individual task.
