Evaluation of Your assignment for 3D Printing and Scanning Week
Since the group work documentation is in your page, I first evaluate your group work and then your individual assignment.
GROUP WORK
Everything seems to be fine with your group work documentation.-
Mikko has a comment for you, please do this minor modification based on his comment:Add what PLA is based on, as you mentioned that ABS is oil based, so it would be tad more complete to mention that the PLA is starch based, and can be made from next to anything like rice, wheat, potatoes, and so on.
INDIVIDUAL ASSIGNMENT
3D MODELING:
You have written very well explanation of the design steps; However, only some minor modifications are needed:
Typo: desine --> design-
"I created a center rectangle sketch and extruded it to cube."Write down the name of the tools that you used; and the paths that you accessed those tools.
Explanation of why your object cannot be made subtractively is missing.You have wrong numbering for the step (step 22) after step 8.
3D PRINTING:
Good that you figured out how to improve your design and it led to a nice result :)
- Typo:
"The printer used was one of our our Mobile Fablab 3D printe" --> 2 our - Typo:
tempereture --> temperature
3D SCANNING:
-
The file for your 3D scanning result is missing. If your .obj file is too big, reduce the size of the file (up to 500 KB) and upload it in your page.-
One way to reduce the size by reducing the density is:Fusion 360 > open .obj file > Switch to the mesh environment > Select Body > Modify > Reduce > Reduce Type:Adaptive, Reduce Target:Density, reduce the density by moving the bar > save as .stl > uploading .stl file would be enough
