test your audio/video/network connection before final presentations!

Most of you don't have slides and videos linked on the final presentation site:

Fiore's script is run hourly to update that.

You should right away get a small test slide and video there -- there won't be time if you have any last-minute issues doing that.

I posted content on Thursday and it still has not shown up. The instructions said to name the files "presentation.png" and "presentation.mp4" and put them in the "root directory". Just to clarify, is it the root directory of the GitLab account or the root directory of the web content? I put them in my GitLab root directory, but for some reason they don't seem to be found.

The answer is that "root" means the top folder that is deployed via the CD script. This may not be the "root" folder in the FabLab structure.

Correct, this is the root of your class Web site, where the top-level index.html is.

One more day after today, then presentations start on Wednesday.

Last-minute pushes are likely to fail, get at least placeholders in there to make sure they're linked -- I won't have time to click around in your sites to find them.

And be sure to test your audio and video in advance, there won't be time to debug those.

Everyone should stop whatever you're doing now and get placeholders linked, so you're sure you know how to do that.

Last-minute trouble with either the slide/video or videoconference means you'll miss graduating in this cycle.

Again, don't leave that for the last minute, a few people ran into that on Wednesday. Stop, document your work, get it linked, and then update with any remaining progress.

For guidance, most of Wednesday's presentations were great examples of finishing final projects.

And most sites were ready for audio+video and unmuting, be sure to test that before you present.
