Options for encoded brushless dc motor control in a fabable package
Hey! I'm working on a CNC printing gantry for my final project. I've been looking into alternatives to steppers for lower cost and better speed. All of the projects i've found seem workable (odrive, VESC, AutomataKit BLDC Driver) but I'm a bit daunted about fabricating the PCBs. I'm wondering if anyone has seen a design or fork of one of these projects that is more suitable for production in the lab (without going through a board house). I fortunately have access to a fiber laser at my lab so fine pitches shouldn't be too much of an issue, but limiting it to a two layer board would still be necessary. Alternatively I'm wondering if it would be acceptable to incorporate an odrive into the project if it is controlled by a lab made control board.
Thanks!
